Shipping & Returns
UK delivery only
LayerForge3D currently delivers to addresses within the United Kingdom only.
Delivery options, delivery charges and any available delivery information will be shown at checkout before you place your order.
Processing and dispatch
We aim to process and dispatch orders without undue delay. Processing times may vary depending on the product, availability and whether an item is made to order.
Where a specific processing or delivery timeframe is stated on the product page or agreed with you, that timeframe will apply.
Delivery times
Estimated delivery information will be provided at checkout where available. Delivery times are estimates unless a specific delivery date or period has been expressly agreed with you.
If no specific delivery period has been agreed, applicable UK consumer law generally requires goods to be delivered without undue delay and, unless otherwise agreed, within 30 days.
Delivery charges
The delivery charge applicable to your order will be displayed at checkout before you complete your purchase.
If a delivery option is offered at a higher cost than the least expensive standard delivery option, you will be shown the available options and their respective charges before placing your order.
Delivery problems
If your order arrives damaged, appears to be missing, is incorrect, or does not arrive within the agreed delivery period, please contact us as soon as possible at marcgreer@live.co.uk and include your order number and details of the problem.
Where appropriate, we may ask for photographs or other information to help us investigate a damaged, incorrect or faulty item.
Responsibility for goods during delivery
Where you are a consumer, responsibility for the goods generally remains with LayerForge3D until the goods come into your physical possession, or the possession of a person you have identified to take possession of them, except where the law provides otherwise.
Returns and cancellations
If you purchase goods from LayerForge3D online as a consumer, you will generally have a legal right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving the goods without giving a reason, subject to the legal exceptions described below.
How to cancel an eligible order
If you wish to cancel an eligible order, please contact us at marcgreer@live.co.uk and clearly tell us that you wish to cancel your order. Please include your order number.
You do not have to use a particular form to cancel, provided that you clearly communicate your decision to cancel.
If you cancel an eligible order, you should return the goods to us without undue delay and, in any event, within 14 days after telling us that you wish to cancel, unless we have agreed to collect the goods or another legal provision applies.
Handling returned goods
You may handle goods to the extent necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning in the same way that you reasonably could in a shop.
If goods have been handled beyond what is reasonably necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning, applicable law may allow us to make a deduction from the refund to reflect any resulting reduction in value.
Return postage
Where you cancel an eligible order because you have changed your mind, you are normally responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods to us, unless we have agreed otherwise or the law requires us to cover the cost.
If an item is faulty, damaged, incorrect or otherwise does not meet your statutory rights, please contact us before returning it so that we can advise you on the appropriate next step.
Refunds following cancellation
Where you exercise a valid legal right to cancel, we will provide the refund required by law without undue delay.
Where required by law, this includes the cost of the least expensive standard delivery option offered by us. If you selected a more expensive delivery option, we are generally not required to refund the additional amount above the least expensive standard delivery option.
Refunds will normally be made using the same payment method used for the original transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise.
Where you are responsible for returning the goods, we may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back or you have provided evidence that you have sent them back, whichever occurs first, where permitted by law.
Faulty, damaged or incorrect items
If an item is faulty, damaged on arrival, incorrect or otherwise does not conform to the contract, please contact us at marcgreer@live.co.uk as soon as possible with your order number and details of the issue.
Your statutory rights are not affected by this returns policy. Depending on the circumstances and the rights that apply, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement, price reduction or refund.
We will assess the issue and explain the appropriate next step.
Custom and personalised products
Goods made to your specifications or clearly personalised may be excluded from the usual 14-day change-of-mind cancellation right where the law allows this exception.
This may apply where a product has been made specifically to your requested specifications or personalised for you.
This exception does not affect your statutory rights where a custom or personalised product is faulty, damaged, incorrect, not as described, or otherwise does not conform to the contract.
Other legal exceptions to cancellation
Certain goods may be excluded from the usual cancellation right where a specific legal exception applies. This can include certain goods that cannot be returned for reasons of health protection or hygiene after being unsealed, or other goods for which a statutory exception applies.
Where a product is subject to a relevant legal exception, this will be made clear where applicable.
Exchanges
We do not guarantee exchanges for unwanted goods unless we have specifically agreed to an exchange.
This does not affect your statutory rights where goods are faulty, damaged, incorrect, not as described or otherwise do not conform to the contract.
Model cancellation statement
If you wish to cancel an eligible order, you may use the following wording or provide any other clear statement communicating your decision to cancel:
“I hereby give notice that I cancel my contract for the sale of the following goods: [insert product/order details]. Order number: [insert order number]. Ordered on: [insert date]. Received on: [insert date]. Name: [insert name]. Address: [insert address]. Date: [insert date].”
